How not to get banned from Facebook Ads

Just recently I spoke with a client of mine and he told me that he got banned from using Facebook Ads.

Facebook typically is going to ban people’s account from using their advertising if they’ve hurt their terms or their policy.

I am not 100% sure what my client did to get banned, but I’m going to tell ya what I told him to prevent getting banned again.

So first of all, you need to go to business.facebook.com and get a business account.

This first step applies only to you if you want to use Facebook Ads for your business.

In the beginning we all used our private accounts for promoting stuff with their ads. That’s completely wrong.

Keep your private account for personal usage only.

Don’t mix things up here.

Once you’ve registered for a business account, make sure to add a billing method to it as well, also fill out the details aka, your company name, who’s the admin etc.

Just fill out your business account profile.

You should also take a closer look on their terms and their policy. I cannot tell you exactly what things you shouldn’t do by using their ad system, because things change very often on Facebook, so do their terms.

Another tip I can give you is to make sure to pay for your ads once you’re being charged. You also shouldn’t use PayPal as a payment method. I’ve had a talk with someone who worked for a long time for Facebook and he told me that Facebook actually hates PayPal.

Not sure if that is true or not, but I would use Credit Cards only for the payment process.

That’s it.

Why you should never buy Facebook Likes

Building a fanbase on Facebook is important for you business.

When I think about building Fan Pages, I always remember a quote I wrote a few months back:

“100 True Fans are more worth than 10,000.”

What that means is that you should be focusing on getting real fans, people who like you and who like what you teach.

When you end up buying Facebook Likes, you will sooner or later notice that 99% of those people won’t be responsive to you and your messages you put out on your Fanpage.

If you’re lucky, you get real people from India or China, some sort of microworkers. But if you are not lucky, you end up getting bot likes.

The way to build up your fan base is by posting consistently on your Fanpage so that your content gets higher ranked on Facebook. It works similar like google.

Both platforms rank content organically.

The more content you post (Obviously, it should be good content, I’m not saying to spam your way up to 100 true fans), the more Facebook will reward you with higher rankings.

A good strategy I’ve figured is to pick the Top 5 – 10 competitors in your market, and spy on what they post on their Fan Pages every day, then you want to come up with similar content for your Fan Page.

I’m not saying you should copy them, but find similar content and post it every single day.

Also make sure to use hashtags for your postings too.

That’s it.
